Abstract The deformation and reconstruction of the composite propeller under static load in laboratory is studied so as to provide basic research for underwater deformed propeller. fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor proposed be used strain monitoring carbon reinforced polymer (CFRP) propeller, a algorithm structural curvature CFRP based on information presented. verified by using variable-thickness laminates finite element software. results show that relative error within 8%. Then, an experimental system FBG network built. blade loaded form cantilever beam, reconstructed measured network. Compared with three coordinate scanners, 15%.
